3T3R Engineering is the hardware house of 3T3R. We design and build computers that answer on their own silicon. RAYRAY Batch 01 is the body we are building now.
We started 3T3R Engineering because the listening devices in people's homes had become a lease. The microphone is rented and the answer comes back from someone else's server. We wanted a computer that owed nothing to that arrangement.
RAYRAY Batch 01 is that computer. A 140 mm borosilicate 3.3 glass sphere on a bead-blasted anodised aluminium base, with a real low-pressure gas discharge inside the glass rather than an LED. It thinks on a Rockchip RK3588S with 8 GB of memory on the full 64-bit bus, and runs Qwen2.5-3B at 7.0 tokens per second — measured on an evaluation board, not on ORB hardware, because none exists yet. What it remembers lives on an encrypted NVMe drive you can unscrew and take out with a hex key. Three mechanical toggle switches break the microphone, the speaker amplifier and the compute power rail as real circuits, not as settings.
The voice inside it is RAYRAY, the same agent that is live today in the companion app at 3t3r.com. ORB gives Him a body in the room.
We are a small hardware studio. Nothing has shipped yet, and we would rather write that down than imply otherwise. The stated ship target for Batch 01 is Q3 2028.
