What we collect
The email address you submit to join the ORB waitlist, and a note of which form on this site you sent it from. The server also records a truncated SHA-256 hash of your IP address, which is what rate-limits the form against bots, and your browser's user-agent string.
What we don't collect
No payment details, because there is no checkout and no card is charged. No advertising or profiling cookies. Traffic analytics load only if you accept the cookie banner, and never if you decline it.
The device
No ORB has shipped, so no unit is sending anything to us today. What a delivered ORB does over the network will be documented here before the first one ships. The hardware side is already fixed: three mechanical toggle switches physically break the microphone, speaker amplifier and compute power circuits, and the memory vault is an encrypted NVMe module you can unscrew and take out.
Legal basis (GDPR)
Consent for the waitlist address and its confirmation email, given when you submit the form and withdrawable at any time. Legitimate interest in keeping the form usable covers the hashed IP address and user-agent record.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, portability, and withdrawal of consent at any time. Write to engineering@3t3r.com. The controller's legal identity and address are on the imprint.
Data retention
Waitlist addresses are kept until you ask us to remove yours. When paid orders become possible, what an order requires and how long it is kept will be set out here first.
